Default The song remains the same

Not much has changed in north Texas other than me carrying my little bottle of slab sauce in my left pocket . Hit the old crappie house with SK the other night from about 5 to 9 pm and wore out the lips on them little crappie that hang around there . Traded a few chips and a turkey and cheese samitch for a few handties and down the road I went .
We sure have some fun out there with them silly winter fish and SK is now using a rod and reel combo he pulled off the bottom out there on a previous visit !
One of them there 19.99 shake my spear ultra lites and heck it was so brand new he aint even changed the line on it
looks like he picked it up at Walmart yesterday I swear ....
Not many large specimens but some are pretty ok here and there , just lots and lots of bites and lots of smiling and yucking it up in there .
Fish are still hugging the bottom in 12 to 16 fow and biting rather hard on jigs held very still for the most part . Sometimes a VERY slow swimming across the bottom action works as well . We didn't keep anything and just went to play with them and we sure enough wore them poor little crappie fisheez out .
stay tuned and hope you enjoy the read and photos
p.s. I have noticed a few fish that look like they might be male fish getting some dark to a slight degree on them .

Glad to hear the cabin fever isn't getting to you too bad. Sounds like fun.
