Chenille Question!!!

To all of you jig tyers.How do you tie or fasten the chenille to the jig head.Does it come on a spool like thread? Do you glue it on after it is wrapped?

After you get your hair/feathers tied on, take a piece of chenille and place one end right behind the jig head and wrap it down to the end of thread holding your tail material on. Start warping the chenille from the hook end towards the head end, have you thread waiting for you at the head. Once you get your chenille wrapped all the way you should have a "tag" end left, give a couple of wraps with you thread BEHIND you tag end of chenille, finish off with your method of choice, I use a whip finisher. The Chenille I've used comes wrapped around cardboard flats.

Yes, give it a good shot of head cement (super glue, clear nail polish, etc) once tied off.
