    Default Side Imaging Question

I have a new Humminbird 997. Can anyone help me adjust the settings to refine the picture? I fish mainly at Reelfoot Lake a generally dingy water, 4-11ft of water. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to yahoo.com then choose "groups", enter "side imaging" . There is a whole group of help there. 3 techs to answer all your questions. You may have to sign up to post and see the pics, but it is free. There must be a couple of hundred pics there. Awsome stuff. Look thru the old post. But you find what you need. IF not, post your questions and you will get answers fast.

Good luck. A 997 huh! You are a lucky man.

I know on my 987 it takes a while to learn the unit. Speed, water depth, And stuff will change the picture.
Also as your using it on Reelfoot watch the stumps on the transducer. Also try running the unit on the speed say 5 and on the side imaging around 60ft that should work.

UTfan let me know when you go fishing again.

I want to check that finder out. The one I have shows fish as solid black under the boat and just an outline if its to the left or right of the boat.
