Default generic bags for food saver

I know this has been talked about before but can't find it. Has anyone found generic bags that work well with food saver vacuum sealers.

I'm about to order some from Amazon. I'm told they work fine so I am going to give them a try.

The ones I'm using came from Amazon. Haven't had any problems with them.

Food Saver brand bags are much too expensive, even on sale. I have been using the 8x12 bags (quart size) from Cabela’s with good success. They run about 25 bucks for 100, but can be found on sale from time to time for about 17 dollars. There is a store near me, and with free shipping and the accumulation of Rewards Points the trip to one of the Big Boy Toy Stores is always welcome. They are 4mil, can be boiled, microwaved and are BPA free. They even have zippered bags for a little more. I have not tried the ones from Amazon but they seem to be comparable and a little cheaper if you are a Prime Member.

The guys at OGF forum have very good things to say about these.

I buy from Amazon and love the quart and pint sizes.

Do a search on Amazon for Vacuun Sealers Unlimited. They offer 100 bags (one end already sealed) for about $.16 each. They all work.

I've used these from ebay. I buy 5 to 8 rolls at the time and they last me for a couple of years. They work great.

I use Ziploc brand vacuum bags when I can get them and Cabelas when I can't. Both work good.

I also use the Cabela’s bags. I stock up on them when they go on sale.
