    Default LED light

I am wanting to get some led lights for the bow and rear platform area of my boat.

If you where to buy some what color would you get and why.

I am looking at the strip lights was planning on putting about 6 to 8 ft on each side front and rear.

I like the looks of blue but not sure if it will be to bright. Red would probably match my boat the best.

Thanks for any help in this.

From what I have read. You should use red or green but very dim any led strips I get are going to be to bright to save my night vision.

I’ve had both green and blue in my boat, and have been in boats with red, and I think I would prefer green over all of them. I’ve got blue in my current boat, but am thinking about going back to green.

I was planning on doing green on the outside for night fishing.

That’s what I did. I just bought 5 meter strips from eBay and glued them on just under the edge.

You can always use something like these and pick the color according to your mood.

green is easy on the eyes . you can get dimer led`s on ebay cheap. made under water lights with the brightest and deck lights with the dimmest. the glue on the strips don`t stick. pulled strip threw clear tubing sealed the ends haven't had any trouble in years. the ones like that at the marine store where 2x the price.

If you can solder, you can buy LED strips in any color by the roll on ebay, and cut them to whatever size you want.
