    Default 1 powerpole trolling


    Ok got one powerpole with a blade on it I cant afford another looking for some thing for the other side so it will drift straight was looking in to a small drift sock or maybe a chain does any body no how big of a drift sock I need so it does not pull me around the opposite way or how long the chain needs to be thanks for any help

    I'd say use one or the other until you can afford another blade. To me a chain would be easier to adjust as the wind changes through the day.

    Cabelas had there drift socks on sale I bought 2 30 inch ones to put one on each side of boat

    Like Ress said, chain is probably best bet to be able to adjust to match other side. Get 4 ft of 3/8 chain and 50 ft of rope. Vary length of rope out to control drift.

    Why would anyone suggest a chain if you like brush piles? Use a small drift sock or bucket!!!!!
