Any of yall ever used an underwater camera mounted to the end of a long pole off the front of your boat to locate stake beds when the water comes up over the top of the stakes?

I have ....use one of the flexable poles that you screw together for cleaning chimney ....you can add lengths to go as deep as you want.

I just got the Aqua-Vu Scout XL last week, and the Aqua-Vu DVR arrived yesterday. Can't wait for the ice to melt so I can give them a workout.
GO STEELER'S!
I've got a Aqua Vu that I use on Hartwell and Lanier and it works great. Both of these lakes are mostly clear and I can read Turbo prop on an old prop in 46' of water at Bald ridge marina. I have some video of about 100 slabs on a stake bed in Hartwell. I like to drop it over and watch the fish inhale a jig sitting there. I also have video of the inside of a 15-18lb cat trying to get the camera in his mouth they like the red light on it.I have rigged me up some 10' 3/4 pvc pipes with male and female ends and it is easy to set up and light when you are try to use it. Just make a mark on the pipe and the you know where the lense is pointing. I use it more than any of the electronics because I can pull up check a bed and know exactly where and what is there.
Our lake has a visibility of less than 2 feet usually. Years ago my Father-in-Law and his buddy tried an underwater camera and they said that they couldn't see a thing.
I know that they have been out a while now and I was wondering if they are advanced enough to see in these conditions.
Anybody got any experience with the cameras and dingy water?
CATCH A BIG-UN
I have used it when the water was dingy and I can see 3-4' but when its clear I can only see 8-10'. When I said I could read that prop in 46' of water I was only about a foot from it. I usualy dont look for fish I just look for my beds to pin point exactly where they are located and then I look for the fish.
