Very easy to see even in bright sunlight. I haven't been able to get out and play with mine yet but Panman on the Va forum can help you.
I am about to trade in my 1 year old boat and am thinking of buying this GPS/Sonar for my console. It has dual MMC slots which I can use since I have the old Navionics Gold and a newer Premium one so I can use both and just jump between charts. I am liking that it is 480X640 Pixels and 8000 watts peak to peak power.
If anyone has this unit I would love to hear and pros and cons.

I have the LCX-25c and love it !
The first one seemed to have problems, moved antenna to back of boat, still would "aquire/lose" signal quite frequently, finally got a replacement and it has worked flawlessly.

I have the LCX25C which this unit replaced. A very good unit. Easy to read in bright sunlight. Lots of capabilities if you aren't electronicly challenged , like I am.
Pros:
1. Large, easy to read color screen even in direct sunlight
2. Can put GPS and SONAR screens side by side and they are still large enough to read
3. Can record SONAR data
4. Great detail
5. Can use either 50 or 200 KHz transducer
6. Good GPS
7. Dual slots for SD cards (I use one for maps and one for recording SONAR data)
8. Great support from Lowrance
9. Good built in map
Cons:
1. Can be a little picky about the SD card used to store MapCreate maps
2. GPS doesn't zoon in quite as much as the 332C
3. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for
4. You spend more time watching the SONAR than fishing

I have the LCX 26C HD Sonar/GPS (Wife went overboard at Christmas). It has a great picture on the Sonar, but I haven't been able to get the GPS to read. I have the antenna mounted on a plate attached to the mounting bracket, bought from Cabelas. Should I have the antenna seperate from the unit?
By the way, I'm new to the Board. Been fishing for Crappie over 30 years. Know some things, look forward to learning a lot more.

I don't know if that unit is one with a internal or an external antenna, but I am sure someone here knows, but if not a quick call to Lowrance will answer that for you. They are pretty good about support.

Here are a couple of things to try:Originally Posted by toothpick
Make sure the NEMA bus has power (both sets of power leads need to be hooked up). You will get a GPS antenna not found error if there is no power to the NEMA bus.
Move the antenna away from the unit and see if it will get a signal.
Switch to the navigation page and see if the unit is locking on any satellites.

I just got the 27C this year. Haven't used it on the water yet, but everything is wired and working properly in the boat. I also got the navionics premium east chip for the maps.
Only thing I need to figure out is what format the waypoints need to be in so I can transfer my waypoints from my handheld GPS to an SD card to be read by the 27C. Anyone know?
