Default Its Been A Brutal Cold Spell

it has been way too cold for way too long. i have been fishing but not as much as i would like. We had a break today with temp up to 12 so i went. The fish were waiting and i took advantage. Lots iced and all released. I had a big mess last week and kept a bunch so we fed and the birds fed.

Wow! Nice crappie. One thing about it you don't have to carry a ice chest or buy ice.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Now I know who to contact on my next visit to Maine.
i spent Christmas with my son, and family, in Machias, ME.
dont think it was over 32 a single day, and I spent 8. It was -12 on the last morning.
Lobster is $5.99, and they steam it for you, ready to eat when you get it home, but a good mess of crappie would have been great!
How big are the slab crappie in Brunswick area?
