    Wife and i are making a trip south to Gnatt Lake in dozier al. anyone ever crappie fish here. going may 2018

    Never fished Gantt lake.I work in that area and others say they are having good luck.Plan on trying it soon.

    I almost didn't open this post because I'd never heard of Gnatt lake, but I'm glad I did. My brain doesn't work good enough to realize that's what you meant.

    I've caught some good panfish on Gantt, and have worn out some bass there on topwater. I've never crappie fished it. I lived in Troy for 7 years and fished it a few times.

    We don't have Red Breasted Sunfish (Red Bellies) here, or at least I don't think I've ever caught one, but they do have them down south. If you catch some, keep them to eat. They are really good.

    I haven't been up to Gantt in a while, but reports in the local weekly here is crappie fishing has been rather good. Point A below Gantt ha.s been drained for repair to dam. Word is Gantt will get the same treatment in about a year
