Anyone fishing the Chetopa Dam?

Are the white bass running?

Never fished below Willson dam, but did very well yesterday at Melvern
My fishing partner and I caught 13 white bass within twenty minutes..

We started fishing at 8:30 a.m. for largemouth bass, and later for crappie. We decided to call it a day without a tug on various lures. We stopped at the point just north of the south launch ramp, and tried small (tiny)spinner baits, and we both caught two on first cast. Two more on the next casts, and from there it was fun, as we caught a white bass almost on every cast made. We ended up keeping ten (limit) and they were all about 16 inches in length.

I caught 27 between Friday and Saturday night at Chetopa. Though most were less than a pound (12 -14 in) some were over 2 pounds. Had a lot of fun. My wife caught a couple but I could not get my boy to catch one. Main point is he tried. We camped friday night but got froze out around 2 AM. Got pulled over in some labett county town for a DUI check. DUI check came back .000 as I tried to tell the officer. It was an eventful weekend.
