    Post Green River?

Anybody got any words of wisdom on green river lately? Trying to make my mind up between it or Taylorsville for this week. I really don't like that 15 fish limit but it's on fire right now. I haven't been on Green since that water was close to 80. I just don't want to head down there blind. Thanks ahead for any comments.

Exclamation If it were me ....

If Taylorsville is "on fire" .... catch your 15fish limit, then cull out your shorter fish as you catch bigger ones.

Both lakes are still about 2.6ft above Summer Pool, with rain forecast for the first part of the week, temps in the 50's and Northerly winds for the remainder of the week. I would expect both lakes to experience hard drawdowns over the upcoming days, which may change their current pattern.

Thanks pappy. I was culling the small ones Thursday. I guess 15 is enough to re-stock the freezer as long as the size is there.

I might know T-ville would be "on fire" while I was gone to Watts Bar Lake in Tenn Wed-Fri But, that's OK since we were catching a few of these :

Well, 19 fish total, to be exact. Fish ranged between 10-13" ... with most in the 11" length range. Here's the difference in a 10" - 11" - 13" fish :

The biggest difference in these fish and Taylorsville fish of the same size .... is one fillet from these is nearly the same as two from a Taylorsville fish. They have a 10" size & 15/day creel at Watts Bar, also.

Now those are what I call dinner plates! I've been working this weekend but these came out of Taylorsville Friday and Saturday.

I fished the lower end of Green Saturday. It still has that odd tea color its had the last couple weeks as if it turned over.
Casting jigs and tight lining .... only managed 11 keepers and all of them were 20 feet deep and deeper . I could not buy a shallow bite
The water color improves as you go up stream
