    Default Thumb rest

After 3 visits to the local creek this week I must admit its time to rest my poor thumb
I will be traveling some soon to the woods and need to ready my mind for the hunt ,along with my equipment . Yesterdays visit to the creek made the 2 previous visits look a little slow . I just stood in one place and ripped the fire out of a large number of black crappie in an hour or so . 18 inches under my little comal fixed float on my camo mr crappie 6 lb mono my bud let me try with a thermocline lures pearl ice tadpole on a red number 6 sickle hook in a 1/32 oz weight . I also pitched a texas thunder crazy angler lil rascal a bit for grins at the end of the visit to hit the last few shy fish . my little 6 foot Tica with its newest stainless rod tip stayed in bent mode a lot of the time and when its 50 50 time wise its a good day . 50 50 refers to 50% reeling in fish and 50% casting .
I will likely try a few spots out west of town while I visit the woods this weekend , but today I will "probably" not have time to pitch a jig . hope everyone gets a chance to get after them soon .
hope you enjoy the photos and read ......

Seems to me that buying a boat would just waste time and money for you! Good show!
