I just worked a 14 hr shift, I would have loved to catch 4 fish instead today. What's the ol' saying, "a bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work"

Serious though, it's always tough after a cold front. Sounds like you just missed it by a day.

Hey man that makes two of us. I thought it was just me. I picked up 3 and got blown off the lake around lunch time. Have a feeling I wasn't fishing deep enough. I've never done much fall fishing, heard great things about, but I haven't just smoked em yet. The ones I did get hit a white and chartreuse shad pole, and they were on the bottom in about 7 fow. Good luck with em.

Cold front, wind out of the wnw, severe high pressure system overhead, temp this morning dropped to 46 and predicting 41 in the morning with possible frost plus blue bird sunny day again. Makes fishing tough for sure. Try late afternoon and evening as wildlife turned on about a hour before dark. Birds finally noisy and singing, dogs alittle wild and active, Deer were moving finally and feeding, squirrels finally out also, bet the fish were active also.
