    Default Bobbers when spider rigging

I just read an article about using a slip bobber while spider rigging but with no bobber stop. I guess it is just used to help you see your line move. You drop your Minnow or jig down to whatever depth you are fishing and the bobber floats on the surface and you can see it move when a fish strikes even without a bobber stop. Anyone do this?

I've been to Crappie Masters events as a journalist and I've seen it often. It's used in shallow water to keep the bait more stable so it don't bounce with the boat. A small bobber with just about almost a tight line (very little slack). Provides control with a little cushion against bait bounce.

I use bobbers but with a stop. I keep line tight to bobber and if it does anything- move, wiggle, lay over, out of the ordinary, I pick up. Bobbers really help with a soft bite.

I use em in heavy winds, like typeman does, with a bobber stop
