    Default C & C tips

Did I read somewhere that Caps and Coleman tips will fit on PST rods? I can't seem to find it. Would it be a better tip for spyder rigging minnows if it will work?

Yes I have a set of 14' PST's and ordered a set of C&C tips for a lighter tip. Kinda like having 2 rods in 1. Just don't tell BnM your doing it you will get a ear full!!!

I finally found the post I was looking for, but it said the 16's would swap but the 14's would not. You are saying you have 14's and they will?

I thought it was just 16's also but I called Grizzly Jig and talked to Lance. He checked them out and tried them to make sure before I bought them. Give Grizzly Jig a call, been happy with them.

I just tried a C/C tip section on a PST (middle) section (14' rods) ... and "yes", it will go in. BUT, it actually goes in much farther than it does on a C/C middle section ... by a couple of inches (~3"). It does seem to be sufficiently secure when inserted, but without actually fishing with that combination, I can't really say for sure. I know that I wouldn't "force" the PST middle section into the C/C tip section, for fear of fracturing either one of the two section's ends.

FWIW -- a PST tip section will fit (snuggly) onto a C/C middle section ... and at the correct depth into the blank. Again, without actually fishing with that combination, I cannot say how the combo will perform.

My PST & C/C rods are a couple of years old, so I'm not sure if either model has had any changes in any newer models.

I have been wanting to switch mine back to C&C tips for fall bite so I just did. 3 of the C&C tips went on 1/2'' farther onto mid section than the PST tips and 1 C&C tip went on 1 full inch farther.

More sensitive tip on a rod with lots more backbone for spider rigging....then change tips back and your ready for pushing and pulling crankbaits

Thanks guys for the info. I think I will try them. I guess I could carry both sets in case I wanted to change styles and not take up much room like 2 complete sets of poles.
