Default I guessed wrong on the weather (9-7)

I checked the weather map after work and decided that I'd be OK to wet a line so off I went. As I launched I said to myself, "Self, you are going to get wet!" I sure got wet about 20 minutes after launching but.....

WHOOO BOY DID I CATCH SOME CRAPPIE!

For some reason I had checked this year fishing regulations and found where I could use 3 lines at a time rather than the 2 of the past so I had rigged out 3 with a BG slab-slayer, and the 2 SP crappie stingers that I've had such good luck with.

Right from the git go I was hooking crappie on the troll.

I don't know how you spider riggers do it but nearly every fish resulted in at least 2 lines tangling, many times all 3! But despite the wind and the rain and tangles, I landed many, many crappie and only one bluegill. I quickly filled the cooler (they were bouncing the lid open and hopping out into the boat!) and began tossing them all back in for another time. With the clouds packed in and the light subdued, it was crazy. I think I'll go back to 2 poles next time. But that's not the whole story.............

After the rain shower ended, I kept rowing then noticed the light and the clouds:

I went back to fishing and when I looked up I saw the beginnings of a nice rainbow:

A few moments later I looked up and this is what I found, a double!

We've all seen a rainbow, even a double rainbow but I'll bet darn few of us have seen 4 of them at time; the wind died down just enough for a super reflection.

At this point, I simply reeled in the lines and watched the splendor of this event. These lasted the better part of 30 minutes and was just awesome!

Even as the cloud bank moved away and blue skies once again took over, that rainbow just wouldn't quit; words and pictures just can't capture the beauty of these moments.

As the skies brightened, the bite died off and I really didn't care, I was in a very special mood. As I decided that it was time to leave, I took one last picture of this spectacular event.

And as a finale, the setting sun behind me lit up the tops of the clouds in front of me.

Every so often, God gets a twinkle in His eye and says, "Watch this!".
Well, He did, so I did and was reminded, as we've been reminded before, that you don't have to be sitting in a church pew to share a special moment with Him.
