Default So .... Has anyone painted a fishing rod?

I can't justify spending the money to get Denali rods, but really like the white color for the way it stands out against the water in a spider rig setup.
I see that some of the B'n'M rods have a florescent tip ... but I like the idea of the whole rod being a color that stands out good against the water.
I see that Mudhole has some paint designed to be used to paint a rod. Wondering how a paint job stands up to flexing etc on a rod.

Crappiemaniac on the MS board painted some white.....think he used Krylon paint its supposed to flex. I have used Krylon to paint my tips before and it worked ok. You can get it in spray cans at walmart. Take one of those green scuff pads to prep the rod before you paint.

I use Krylon fluorescent paint and it does well. Been on them for years and still looks great. I base coat with white, it really makes the fluorescent pop.

We painted the end of a bunch of cane poles many years ago when we cat fished with bank poles......Used florescent paint and they lit up real good with a spotlight.
