My best advice would be to make sure you DON'T post pics with the gps cord,s showing, if these turn out to be good piles Sofkahatchee Creek might get fished dry before you can get back there. No worries from me though I'm too far away!

It's mostly not the members. It's the lurkers. You would be amazed at the number of people that never contribute but always look to see if there is a hot spot near them.

Mark the brush so you can stay on it with a buoy are spot lock if you have it. Then try Crappie pappy's vertical fishing.

I do not usually trust fish ID to tell me there are fish there, particularly in a brush pile. It would be interesting to see if you had a picture right after you put it in and compared it over time. I just never use the fish ID because I do not trust it to be right. I would rather see what the signal looks like. I also find I can see individual fish better on downscan.

I was also wondering that. I have a helix 5 and still learning how to use it. Not sure what fish look like on the DI or SI yet

I think it depends a lot on the distance from the transducer and/or the angle of the fish to the signal. Some will just show up as white dots, but every now & then you may get a shot like this :
