I know this hurts. Pets are family.
I never thought I'd have this hard of a time with letting go of a dog that pissed me off so much, but it certainly was hard to do. This stupid dog has been a pita to me as long I can remember. Threw up all the time, had to eat special food his whole life. Scared of thunderstorms, even when it wasn't even raining. Would whimper at the slightest thing. Hated having a collar on him when he was small, could not even walk him. Took up a whole lot more bed space than he needed (yes, even though I promised myself when I first got a dog, they'd sleep in their own bed and never in mine). Developed a pee problem (just like me), had to go pee every hour on the hour! I swear he never did like me, was always wifeys dog, but he sure held a special place in my heart. I've put other dogs down, but this has been the hardest. Am I going soft! I swear, Abbey better not ever die. I told wifey I was just gonna have her stuffed and mounted to a skateboard. Yeah that's the ticket! She'll be with me forever.
Here's a picture of Ringo back in the day. He won a photo contest in Car & Driver or Road and Track magazine with this pic.
He was 15 years old, and has not been real steady on his feet for a while now. Last weekend he would fall down and not get up. They gave us predisone (a steroid) and it seemed to help a little, but he was still falling down and hurting himself. So we decided his suffering would be over. RIP Ringo
"G", Ringo apologized for throwing up in your new GMC at Okatibbee btw!

Sorry for your loss. It's a tough thing letting a dog go. They get into your heart in a special way. I still miss my best buddy after 3 years. His collar still hangs on the rear view mirror of my truck.
