    Default SpyderLok Rod Holder tip

I don't know if anybody else does this but I prefer the adjustment knob for adjusting the rod tip height relative to the water be reversed from how it is in all of the pictures I have seen and also how all four of mine were assembled when delivered. I took the knob/clamp ass'y loose and removed the rod handle holder cradle. I then rotated the cradle 180 degrees so that the knob side would be toward the "V" nest side (under rod side) as opposed to toward the enclosed (over handle) side.

Making this change creates extra space for the end of the rod handle to clear making it much easier for me to get the handle in and out.

Try it if you haven't already. If it doesn't work for you, it's simple to change back.

I have 2 seats, a transport holder set, and (4) 4 rod holder and love them all. This change made the rod holders even better for my applications.

That's not a bad idea, once I get them set I rarely adjust them any more.

Both of mine came put together the way it is in the pic... Works great if I want the rod tips down by the water's surface... Sucks when I want them way up... Never thought about reversing them... DUH!

Great ideas, great tips. Here's some more. Longer SS bolt and a short section of SS pipe and a second SS washer.

Koool idea I am going to switch them around; it appears to be easier to make adjustments.

Thank you. Just got two sets and I wasn't happy how it was assembled. Just converted mine. Now it's perfect
