    Default 2 D ...... is ......

Exactly what I posted about back when , if you use a hummingbird unit and don't trust the 2 D then according to what I read on another forum you are missing the real deal .....the article I read was written by hummingbird and in the internet web address it said sonarwars .....
It seems that even though I knew what I knew I was in fact totally right about what I posted on 2 D on the hummingbird units we use .....
The technology isn't old as stated before and it is spot on for sure ....run a split screen with 2 D and down imaging on your late model hummers and see what you shall see ....the down imager won't tell you near what the 2 D will and in the end it's about ketchn fish not playing with screens and such when I hit the water ......
Hopefully some of you that don't trust the 2 D will start using it with the fish symbols on and let the graph do the hard on the eye balls part ....it is the real deal ....

I love the 2D on my Helix. I honestly have even used the DI. I do like the SI and use it alot, but the 2D is great.

Agree with you 100%. As a guide for the last 16 years I've relied on the 2D mode with fish symbols to fill the box as quick as possible. I fish open water and big rock structure. I'm sure side imaging is very good for locating productive brush piles and the like. When it comes to technology less is more for me. I still don't own a cell phone.
