What gloves are people using for when they fish in the freezing temps?
The Grabber hand warmers work well. Either in your pocket or inside your gloves.
Like Lee, I use gloves when driving...none while fishing. When it is cold, i keep an extra set of winter clothes in the boat. Hope to never take a cold weather spill, but if I do I am prepared to dry off and quickly change.

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!
I can't fish with gloves on. I like to dip timber in the winter and it's a hassle. If it gets real cold, I'll take a few pair of stretchable liners, and cut the thumbs and a couple fingers out. Best I have found, and I have some expensive gloves that stay home.

In Michigan, we are used to fishing in cold weather all the time. From early spring Walleye fishing, fall fishing, to ice fishing.
For me, I use three different sets of glove liners depending on the application. I have a thicker set of North face (still very thin) a set of Manzell (wear them all the time) and the new GILL glove liners. All of them are in black to allow for some heat from the sun.
Weather I am on a snow machine or in the boat, I switch out to winter lined deer skin leather gloves. They are easy on, easy off, block the wind, keep out the water, and cheaper than the high dollar stuff (I have that stuff too but prefer these).
As for hand warmers, the ones you purchase at the store as throw aways are junk. Sure they heat up, but, the more fish you take off from your hook, or the moistness of your hands, they stop working really fast.
Do yourself a favor and go out and purchase the old school ZIPPO hand warmers. They are still sold at Wal-Mart (less than 20 bucks) and are the best bang for your buck. You fill them with zippo lighter fluid, light the top, stick on the cap (no flame) and put it in the bag. It will last up to 12 hours when full and is 1000 times warmer than a simple 99cent pocket warmer.
We start tournament fishing in April in Michigan and this is what we use on our many hours of pre-fishing and on tournament days to ensure we have our hands on the rod 100% of the time.

I use the glove mitts, that way when I'm fishing I can grab line with index finger to help feel the bite. And when fingers get cold just flip mitt section over fingers.
