Not a very impressive one for sure but a start none the less.

Made my first trip of the year last night. No electronics, I just grabbed my rods and box and boat after work and headed out. I trolled around a while and then took to casting along the weed line. This was my first hit and only crappie of the night, this monster 6 incher. I am pretty rusty, that's for sure and I need to re-string one of my rods before I go again. But I had a nice couple of hours of fussing around and did manage a couple of small bass, about half a dozen nice bluegills and 1 jumbo perch to round out the evening.

Plus I think my wife was glad to get me out of the house!

By golly, I sure hope they get a bit more productive, especially with the crappie. It was good to get out, though. I have to plan a bit better next time and work a bit harder at it.
