I am so tired of fighting the wind, but I love catching the crappie more. Only kept 11 today, but agai caught quite a fwe, like probably 30 today so less than yesterday. 21' of water fishing down 12'-16'. Oh yeah and all the biggest ones were 11 3/4" to 12 1/2" with none smaller than 10".

I see you only have specks. You have whites there don't you? Nice catch BTW. Haven't heard about Randy in a while. Hows he doing?

I know what you mean. The 20 MPH winds have kept me off the water for the last week in North Carolina.

Tarheel the winds here in North Texas a couple of weeks ago was a constant 45 miles per hour with 65 mile per hour gusts. Then one week later it was a constant 35 miles per hour with up to 45 miles per hour gusts. Heck I think the surfers from the coast gave up the coast for the North Texas Lakes lol.
SKIPTOMYLU where did you get them good crappie??

Thanks all!

I got these on Toledo Bend as I live here on the lake. I only fished about 4 hours each the last couple of days. I getting them in a creek on their way to a back cove to spawn.

I did get quite a few that were too small (under 10") if I had to guess I probably caught a total of maybe 50 the first day and probably about 30 yesterday, but I didn't really keep count, heck I was not even sure how many I was keeping until it was time to clean them.

Also I was using my Mean Green Jig in 1/4 oz. and yesterday I changed up to a Hot Pink head, body and tail 1/8 oz jig. Guys fishing with minnows were not doing as well as I did.

The wind surely makes it rough, but it looks like you did pretty good.
