Unfortunately I was unable to make it to the lake this weekend however, Dad spent the weekend at the cabin and took my late brother's best friend's dad out for his first cranking adventure........ not only did they boat two nice limits of crappie but also added in a couple bonus walleye. According to Dad, they were too busy catchin to take pictures but did manage this one:




Seems as though the bite is picking up............. bout time for me to scamper down for a weekend!

Glad they got into them. I pulled cranks on Saturday and caught a ton of crappie but only 8 keepers. Lots of 6-8inch fish. Did get a nice walleye as well. The crappie were scattered all over and I caught fish in everything between 10-40 FOW.

Let us know when your coming maybe a few of us would do a road trip.

Looking at most likely the weekend of August 4 - 6. I'd say mark it down......... we can have a get together at our place around lunchtime if the heat is oppressive. Dad and I are usually on the water at daybreak, off around 11:00 to refuel/recharge and then back on around 3:00 till dark.
