Had a couple of hours to kill this morning so I hit a local pond from shore. For just 2 hrs. of fishing I managed to catch & release 44 crappie, 1 lm bass and one bluegill. The crappie were all on the small size, represented in the following pictures. The gill was decent however and put up a decent tussel.
Most were caught on straight tails, a few on paddle tails and they were even hitting tubes as well; however, they tore these up way too quickly, so I went back to the more solid plastics. And the solid bodies produced well, so there was no need to go ultra-finesse with tubes.
Here are a couple of the crappie and the gill:
Hopefully, Walt & I will be able to hit the big waters on Saturday, in his boat. Very anxious!

Thanks for posting! I still haven't made my first trip yet, too many other things going on. I think I'm out of fish in the freezer too, so I guess I'll have to get in gear pretty soon!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
