Default Spider rigging or single pole?

Just curious what everyone is doing this time of year? I been seeing a lot of both on reelfoot the last couple weeks. I enjoy both but this part of year I enjoy the single pole.

Never fished Reelfoot but I have seen both here in Arkansas. I have never spider rigged so you can guess the method I have been using. I am not opposed to spider rigging in any way, I am just addicted to that thump on a jigging rod.

Yeah I know. I been catching allot of blue gills but I'm going to go catch some crappie in am. Was out before dark and found couple spots were bait fish were balling up for the night. It will be a beautiful feeling in the morning.

I got into spider rigging pretty hot and heavy but I am bringing good my single pole rods out more and more. I switch to single poling when they get tight into cover. Visible or otherwise. I also use it to check a spot before unrolling and setting up my gear to spider rig. Much easier to bounce around that way until I find an active school of fish to set up on.
