For years I've ragged on Smithville. (Birddogs54 called me out on it and rightfully so) so we decided to buy the year pass and attempt to learn the lake. I have to be honest and admit that I never really put in the time to learn a lot about it; whenever I went it was short fish and it just got old, so I stopped going there. HOWEVER, lately as you can see by Josh's photo, we have had VERY good days. I can't believe the quality of the fish we caught today. So, I have to admit that I was wr.......wro...I was incorrect about the lake. I think the cost of the year pass was well worth it and look forward to learning as much as I can about the lake. A great day on the water with my friend and caught great fish to boot. Don't get much better than that!! (I caught most of those)

Nice mess of fish! Can I ask what area were you in? Iv'e been fishing W bridges often and it's been tough. It seems like I'm only able to catch them far out and deep. Thanks!

not knowing a lake can be tricky and frustrating. took us more years than I care to admit to learn how to fish my home lake. but made it a point to make friends with the locals and they taught us how to be very successful there, just a lil different.

WTG by sticking with it and learning how to getrdone. Nice catch./

Somebody ought to check the temperature in hell--methinks a cold front moved through!?! Never thought I'd see the day!

Way to go, Josh and Jack!
