Default Left the boat at home...

Left the boat at home and did a little bank fishin' for a change and found a few. The tricky part was the area I found all these was a spot that you had to cast over a fence and once you hooked one you had to fight them with the rod over your head and then swing 'em over. Lot's of fun. Only lost 2 swinging 'em over so not too bad. All were caught on a Bobby Garland baby shad 16" under a slip bobber casting wide right of the spot and letting the South wind drift it on 'em and once it hit the spot... BOOM!

Nice catch. Look like you've had a little rain down there. We only fish over fences here at night.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Nice Catch, I'm assuming the fence is there to keep the fish in and not the fishermen out.. Lol

Reminds me of the time my oldest brother and two of his friends decided to do a little over the fence fishing at night down there at the Ole Miss Campus in the late 80's. They were taking rods and reels with treble hooks casting them over the fence into the pot fields Ole Miss grows, needless to say local Oxford PD and the campus police were not that enthused in these teenagers interest in horticulture

REAL nice bag of fish. I crossed a few fences, and caught a few bass at some golf courses, all worth the effort. Looks like a good time regardless.

The fence is to keep the cattle in the pasture and that part of the lake runs right up to the fence, from inside it was way too far to cast with the high winds that we had.

we hit a lot of spots that requires the ole swing em over routine and for sure there is always a rush on the lift . it adds a new level of frustration sometimes though and in some cases some get returned to where they originated .....nice post for sure ....
