    Default Multi species day.

On the lake early yesterday, fully intending to hit the crappie and gills hard.I started Longlining for crappie using a small crank on one rod,and a black curly tail grub on an over spin.
I caught 5 nice rainbows, and a super nice largemouth, but no go on the crappie.I switched over to a float, and thin wire hook tipped with a honey worm and a mealworm, and hit the jackpot.I ended up with 10 nice gills, and 5 crappie, before calling it a day.
The gills are moving into the shallows,no beds yet,but I exspect them by next week. All the gills I caught were big females,in 4-8' OW which surprised me,I guess they are waiting on the boys to fan the beds.
