I can help you there. A kokanee (Oncorhynchus nerka) is a land locked Sockeye or "red salmon" believed to be naturally occuring in some lakes from glaciers receding and daming of rivers. BUt his yummy fish has been stocked in lakes through out the country. The fish averages about 10-12 inches but can reach up past 24 with the world record weighing 9 pounds 4 ounces. it is a tough fis to catch because it may be in the to 20 feet of water in the spring but during the heat of the summer may go down below 100 feet. But i do have to say that it is the best tasting fish that i have caught or eaten(next would be crappie). But according to my records there are no kokanee in TN. But that is not a fact. But thanks for supling the Question i was finaly able to answer a question with fact. sorrta.

That is a nice looking fish. If our area had those, I'd give the crappie a break on occasion.
