I look forward to hearing your post!! AND WELCOME!!
Born and raised in Evansville, In. Begin crappie fishing at the age of 3. In 1965 got the letter from the draft board that said "Your friends and neighbors have selected you for...............". Decided the Army was not for me and joined the Air Force. Seemed like a pretty good gig and ended up staying for 21 years. Retired from the AF in 1986 and moved to Melbourne, Fl. Went crazy over salt water fishing and have done no fresh water fishing since then. Have decided to get back to my roots. I want to see a crappie move a cork around and slide it under. Been reading selective posts for the past 3 days to see if I could learn anything here and I have (a bunch). Decided to do it up right and going with a guide tomorrow. Going to Kennansville Lake here in East Central Florida with him. This guide primarlily guides for Bass but does do Crappie trips. He thinks Kennansville Lake is the premier Crappie Lake in the world, said it is better then Ochhacobee(sp) or Lake Weiss in Alabama. Last 11 miles into this lake is a dirt road. He has a 4 pounder out of here and several threes. Said two pounders are pretty common. I'll will report tomorrow night or Sat how we did. Great site here, thank you
