Hi guys and gals.Iam new to this sight and iam from ONT.All you American Crappie anglers are way more advanced than us guys north of the border.Iwas hopeing for some of yourknowledge on river crappie. The river i fish is medium size with a 14 foot hole by a bridge. Most of the crappie i get are downstream of the embutmant. The fish dont hang around long and then i cant find them.Any suggestions or simalar experiences would greatly be appreciated. These fish are big for ont nobody else fishes there i have it all to myself. Some fish over 2 lbs which is huge for ONT. THANKS SCOTT

I fish a river alot for black and white crappie. They tend to move frequently in rivers and contrary to what "experts" say , i have found them in current more times than not. Sometimes directly in it and sometimes on the breaklines , where current meets slack water. My advise would be to vary your depth and try something you don't think would catch 'em. I have caught 'em here in the river in 38 degree water a foot or so below the surface.
