Default A GOOD but COLD day in the delta !!!

Well it was much colder yesterday than last Wenesday when Ms. Jess and I caught a box full but we still had a good day fishing. We had air temp around 50 degrees and still had water temps around 53 degrees. The killer was the wind it was from the west to northwest at 15 to 20 mph making for a cold day on the water. We still managed to box about 40 nice crappie and we were catching them under a cork in 2 to 3 foot of water. Looks like the weather is warming up next week I cant wait till it stays in the upper 60'S for a while! Well I've got to go clean fish now it was too late and too cold last night.

Nice bunch of slabs you got there. It will be better when the wind lays down a bit and it gets a little warmer.

You guys crack me up with the complaining about 50 degrees, but man you guys are gettin some beautiful fish. Are you measuring and weighing some of the bigger ones because it looks like your gettin some slabs? Are you fishing Horn or Shelby or right in the river? I don't quite understand what the delta is.

Grizz the Delta I speak of is the Misissippi river delta here in north Mississippi. The lake we are fishing is a shallow river oxbow that is land locked in the delta. Hey 50 degrees is cold with a 20mph northwest wind especially when I was fishing Wednesday in 72 degrees. You know us folks from the south have thin blood ( too much whiskey! )

If it was 50 here I would be in my boat and not at this desk.

53 degrees....thats almost T shirt weather. Good looking mess of crappies you got there slabologist. Hey, I see you got one of them Garmins fish finders up front. Which one is it and how well do you like it? I found a new 160c for $130.00 I am thinking about buying.

I think it is an older 160 and it works great the only problem I have with it is the screen speed is a little slow and sometimes it makes it hard to pinpoint deep structure if you are moving fast. Other than the fact I have cut the transducer cable three times it is a great fish finder. I would buy Garmin again!!
