Default Smithville Lake, 4-19-17 Two limits today.

Very good day for me this does not happen for me very often. WA HO 5' to 8' of water off bank, muddy water. 68 deg., Road Runner with white grub. It was hit and miss then found new Honey Hole. Weird white in muddy water. I usually would think black and chartreuse.

Indian say white not weird in muddy water. At least not for this Indian. But prefer white and another contrasting color...black white, blue white, chartreuse white.Roadrunner head adds flash, vibration, make wake behind lure....all good. Sometimes you just have to find some place nobody has pounded yet and get there at the right time.

Sweet not a sniff for me yesterday on the banks. Only tried one spot and bass fished the rest of the time. Not much better with that. One bass smaller than the spinnerbait he bit!
