Default Truman Lake State Park? Sterett? Bucksaw??

Heading down this week for annual trip with my dad.

Last year was first trip down to Truman and we had a heck of a time last April 15 weekend. Started from state park and went to Sterett Creek, but water temps on that part of the lake were only in the mid 50s. Trailered down to Bucksaw and it was game on. Limits every day. Water in low 60s.

Unfortunately as luck would have it, this weekend is looking pretty rough with the weather. We are staying at Reel and Trigger resort so plan to start around the state park area again. If it's no good will head up to bucksaw again and give it a shot.

Any other suggestions with current conditions and upcoming forecast? Will be there Thursday and coming home on Sunday. Hoping for a great time with my dad.

    Good luck to all!

We'll be at R and T next week. If you don't want to drive all the way over to bucksaw go downtown Warsaw and put in at Drake on the LOZ. Some good crappie fishing in the big coves there as well. We'll be snagging mostly on LOZ but will have the crappie gear with us as well. That's the great thing about that location, you can be on either lake in minutes.

Looking like your on them. Hope the rain don't ruin it.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    Good looking fish.
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
