Whats the procedure now ? Did it change? nothing seems to work for me.

When you click on the little picture icon, and the box comes up, click on the "basic uploader" (bottom right of that box). I'm planning a vB upgrade, maybe even in the morning, to hopefully fix it. But it's not always the software, some browsers have been getting updates that are not compatible. It's so weird. I just hope they fixed it on either side and made them compatible.

Slab et al, Recently I started having problems with loading pictures. My opinion/discovery. Using internet Explorer seems to be the problem. For some reason, I can't load a single pic with IE. I started using Chrome exclusively for crappie.com and I now seem to have success loading pictures. Separately, i do have pics that load sideways...a personal problem I guess

When I click upload it appears nothing is happening but when I get the option to post the pic is there.

I use FireFox and have been for decades. This too, will not allow me use the "Select Files" icon. I can upload pictures only using the "Basic Uploader". At least something works! I'm not having this problem on any of the 1/2 doz. other fishing forums that I visit regularly however. Thinking this may just be an upgrade situation for Crappie.com?

I had the same problem. It turned out to be FireFox. Use Crome now.

Ah...I think we are zeroing in on the culprit/root cause. Seems multiple browsers are challenged. Again, Chrome seems to work for me, not IE. So, is it compatibility issues with the various browsers or the site software? Hard to say. One of the challenges of ever changing software across the internet?

Truth be told : Every time the site gets an update/upgrade, some functions are changed. (same thing happens with other websites and apps)

Yes, having to use the "Basic Uploader" deal did occur after an upgrade. But, it still works just like using the "Select Files" button used to, and that button no longer responds to being clicked on ... so, just use the Basic Uploader link.

Sideways cellphone pictures are also a site related problem. It's a software interaction where the site's software doesn't recognize the alignment of the picture and tries to correct it (in layman terms). This can be remedied by taking cellphone pics with the top of the phone pointed to your right. You can test this by using the "Testing Area" forum. But, what you can't do is "rotate" the pics to the correct orientation on this site, as there is no means to do that on here.
