    Grilled crappie fillets at the sheriffs office tonight then back to fighting crime......maybe!!

    Crappie ciller we just cooked them till they were pretty firm and then flipped them. I think the design of the grate on that grill helps a lot also.

    Plus if you use bigger filets it helps too. been catching nice ones on my lake and they grill up easier.

    I concur. Get 'em a little more on the done side and they stay together much better. We do most all ours on the grill.

    Going to have to try to find or build one of those expanded metal type grates. Grilling crappie has been tough for me even with a grill basket. BUT SOOOO GOOD!!!!

    I've been catching some bigger fish lately so gonna give it a try. Any secrets to keeping them from drying out?
