I recently purchased a really nice combination from ( brand x ) , they have a presence on this forum as a sponsor and are a really well known manufacturer that has been around forever .
The reel on the unit gave me BIG time trouble with the anti reverse not wanting to stay locked in anti reverse the very first time I used it . Now mind you I have never in 50 years seen any reason for an open faced reel to even have one ( a reverse ) , but none the less they still put it on them .
All this said it has performed like this EVERYTIME I tried to use it and has a mind of its own , sometimes it stays locked up for a few hook sets and other times it does what it wants when it wants , and It for sure will bust your knuckles just about off when it does it !
So here in lies the dilemma , I have contacted these people via 2 phone calls and left messages and my phone number and even tried sending private messages on Facebook to find out how to get it fixed . To date NOT a single response and its like I don't exist as a customer .....
it supposedly has a warranty but to date they don't seem even slightly interested in helping me ....
any suggestions ?

give Slab a PM and tell him what's going on and who the sponsor is Maybe he can talk to them and get something done

Why not return it the first time you tried it?
thought maybe it would work into a good item , so I used it a few more times in hopes it would get better ....NOT ....
and when I took it back to them (the seller of the item and No I am not please with them either ) the locals in these parts were rather surprised they didn't help me as well ...
they ( the seller ) said I had to contact the manufacturer and gave me the number I left the messages on
said they didn't do warranty work on them ....

I gotta say, Ketchn did a bang up job describing the issue with the product and the company without naming them.
And Slab chiming in to help out is just another reason we have the best forum on the web
