Almost Easter

And to be sure I know this because the Easter Bunny is even hiding Easter Eggs in the fish .....
now on the serious side I didn't have the stomach to cut it open and find out what kind of alien spawn it was inside of this thing , we were about to have the fish for dinner and I just pitched whatever it was over the fence into the creek .
What do yawl think it was is the actual question ?
An abscess of some sort maybe ? or something a bit more sinister ?
I don't remember ever seeing anything quite like this in a fish before ?
it was in a large bluegill I filleted from a private lake if that helps diagnose the growth .
