    Default Modified my new net

I needed a net so I made my way to Grizzly Jig and purchased one of the Procar Nets they sell. It has an 8’ extendable handle and a rubberized string net. I didn’t think the net would float so I decided to add some pool-noodles to insure I get to bring it back with me when I take it out. I often fish alone and I thought how I could accomplish two things at once. I attached the pool-noodle pieces so they not only give the net floatation but they also position the net so I can land a fish without holding the handle. In the photos you can see where I added the pool-noodle and when the handle is resting on the gunnel (in this case a box on the bank of one of my ponds) the front of the net is in the water with the back higher, so I can drag a fish into the net and then grab the handle to scoop it up.

btw: I uploaded three different versions of the pictures - normal - rotated left - and rotated right - and they came out in the orientation they wanted - never could get them to show the way I took them.

I have a similar set up, but the "float part" is wrapped around the handle so that it just touches the net.

Good idea. A 6" piece of swim noodle would float a pretty big net also.
Be safe and good luck fishing
