    Default stripers on wateree 1/19/05

Me and Hill with the biggest ones of the day. Fished in 44 feet of water near a dropoff up in colonel's creek. We were anchored down. Caught these in about 20-24 feet of water tight lining minnows off the side. Water temps were in the upper 40's. Calvin caught the biggest at 11 lbs the others weight 7 lbs and 5 lbs.

I caught 1 fish that weighed 7 lbs . Calvin caught the big one that was 11 lbs. they were drifting in the same area that we all have been fishing the past month. The wind was not that bad so we were able to drift around. Calvin and Sam started fishing around 1100 and caught the first fish at 1:30 . Hill and I got to the lake around 1:45 and caught our first fish around 2:00. We are planing to go back on the 30 th.

Hey Rango - That is a nice little mess of stripers you go there on 12/30.....looks like a good time to me!!!!

I think during the spring my fishing partner and I are going to give the largemouth a try.....he is big into largemouth fishing, and I figure I can give it a go every once in a while too.....I just hate to come off the crappie.....maybe we can alternate during the course of the day???
