    Default The Lone Ranger

I went out to see if the front messed them up that hit the dfw area Sunday late afternoon . the weather change most certainly changed the pattern up a bit and it took me a bit to get dialed in . The fish moved away from the bank and it was a cast as far out as you possibly get about 4 foot under the float to get bit . they were in about 7 to 8 foot of water .
The fish all looked like they have been spawning for a while to me and most of them were males . It was sure enough fun though doing the ole side arm hard as you can hook set with a give of the drag right on the final rotation on the hook ups .
ripped 18 lips good and lost a terribly high number playing mister hook set
filled up some poor fellas basket and went on my way ....
3 pm to 5 pm in the bright sunshine and enjoyed the hike thru the bluebonnets.
hope you enjoy the read and photos and have a great day

Nice fish. Can't wait until they get their span on here in MO. One small shallow local lake is warming up pretty decently, the rest are 3 weeks off or so.

I bet that fellow appreciated you helping him fill his basket. Some people don't get to fish as much as some of us (as in you and me). By the time they buy their licence, bait, etc. it cost them pretty good so having a good mess of fish when they get home helps. Nice crappie. Thanks for sharing your reports and pictures.
Be safe and good luck fishing

thanks yawl and let me just say this , you ever see me and want a crappie dinner be sure to mention it . I either give them away or toss them back almost always . Today was one of the exceptions and I invited 3 fat girls to dinner , the other 6 and the large greenfish went to 2 guys who only had a single in the box .
kinda slow this morning it was after that monster storm rolled thru 4 hours before I hit the water for sure
