Weiss trip in April

Planning a trip to Weiss the 9th of next month, any suggestions, bait etc.

The spawn may be over by then, but all the same :

Longline trolling w/jigs - backs of creeks along or above the channel
Spider Rigging w/jig or jig/minnow - along the channel edge
Shooting Docks - especially older ones or ones with deep water under them (or a channel running close by)

Many use Jiffy Jigs, some use custom jigs (available around the lake), and others use plastics .... just give them a smorgasbord of colors & styles and let them tell you what they want.

That's just my opinion. (you might also talk to the customers of any of the guides and see what methods/baits were used, but I wouldn't ask them "where" they fished) You could also notice how the 'crowd' was fishing, because there's always a bunch following the guide boats.
