    Default Staging for the Spawn

Generally speaking, how much earlier would you say that the males stage for spawning in the creeks and coves compared to the females in the lakes you fish? I fish Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee and last year it was about 10-14 days. I am basing that off of the cutting board having more males filleted early and more females later in the season. I know weather plays a big part in the equation. Yesterday I brought home 6 fish for dinner - 5 males and 1 female. Do you find similar results on your home lakes?

    Thanks for the input, JayW

Sounds about right but I really don't know. Fish are individuals and some spawn earlier than others. That's why one boat can catch their limit on the bank and on the same day another boat did it in 20 ft of water.
