echoMap 73sv has chartplotting and maps built-in with an sd card slot, Striker 7sv does not.
Could anyone explain to me the difference between the Garmin Striker 7sv and the Garmin echoMAP Chirp 73sv other than the price? They look to both have Chirp, and I can't tell much difference in the two units. Thanks

Yes the striker will allow you to set way points but doesn't have the very detailed maps of the echomap series which is in my opinion better than navonics tenfold. Also pantopix capable if you ever feel rich enough for that. The echomap also has the safe navigation feature which is nice if you need it
