Mini me Mom and myself

We hit the local private pond Saturday late in the afternoon , We had a splendid time with our 3 lil pushbutton rods and reels and managed to some how ketch some panfish . We tried to ketch some of the large bluegill but no big ones were about . We tried to ketch some crappie but got our hooks straightened out by the 2 big ones we hooked .
the good news is we ketched a few fish and had us a splendid time right up till the skeeterz tried to eat us ....right after dark thirty the lil biters came a biting and the ladies was a dancing around on the dock and for some reason the fish don't like a barn dance on the dock when its dark ....
Mini me other wise known as MiniKaboom managed a nice size female warmouth when it was dark and when she got it up on the dock she said "look at my crappie ,look at my crappie ".
I said "sweety its a female warmouth" Mom looked at me sternly and said "ITS A CRAPPIE " !
we set our floats at 3 foot deep for both the bream and the crappie .
we used worms for the bream and jigs for the crappie .

nothing like having the wife and kiddo's around to liven things up even if it isn't most productive way to ketchm. It sure looks like a fun time which is great as well.

One thing for certain my push button was a handicap .....no casting dang thing ....lol ......but it was hoot and the lil mini continues to improve with each outing ....wife said 3 in 3 casts made it fun for her as well and the lil lake is a nice family spot as well ....the other couple had an infant on the dock while mom and dad ketched fish ...mom held the baby and used her other hand to ketch the fish .....fun stuff for sure

My wife only wants to use her zebco push button which is fine. But she will take one of my 10 footers when the crappie hit the banks.
