I thought that was the way you did it.? I know there are three modes, silent, beep, and intermittent beeps. Battery in the remote maybe!
I have an old Minn Kota PD 55 or 65. Years ago I added a copilot with the fob remote. Some time last year the motor stopped chirping when making changes with the remote. I read to hold down the + and - key at the same time toggle the sound, but no help. I still have not chirp. Any idea what I can do/check to try restore the chirp so I know when it accepts a speed change or on/off?
Thanks,
Dayton

It "might" have something to do with the unit that actually emits the sound. IE, a speaker. The system itself could in fact be sending the beep, but if the speaker is not working, you won't hear it. That is my guess.
Probably a tiny speaker mounted on the system board is all it is. And when I say tiny, I mean tiny!
