A few nice fish photos from Wednesday 2-28-07

I took my son and his buddy out to try for a few specks at my cousins 17 acre lake about 15 miles west of Clare. We did not manage to catch any specks this time but managed to catch a few nice fish of a different kind. We were only on the ice for an hour and a half so the outcome was fine with us. It was kind of funny because we each only caught one fish but they were each very respectable fish for their species. We were most impressed with the perch. He was just over 12 inches and very fat. I also had another perch break my line at the hole. That one was 2+ inches longer than the one in the photo. The pike is just over 27 inches and the bass is 18+ and very thick. Not bad for such a small lake that is almost entirely 8 feet deep with one very small hole at 18 feet.
